President Trump and his Administration have made cracking down on dangerous and illegal Chinese vaping products a top priority. Their efforts have resulted in major victories and seizures of illegal products worth millions of dollars around the country. However, these efforts are being undermined because Chinese producers are shifting to synthetic products to skirt current U.S. laws.

In order to achieve this goal, the totalitarian CCP employs tactics like forced labor, intellectual property theft, unfair trade practices, and espionage. As a result of these and other practices, China is a designated adversary of the United States.

In 2025, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning about three cybersecurity vulnerabilities found in a connected medical device that threatened patient safety and privacy. According to the notice, three cybersecurity vulnerabilities were found in Contec CMS8000 patient monitors that could “allow unauthorized actors to bypass cybersecurity controls, gaining access to and potentially manipulating the device.” The manufacturer of the device – Contec Medical Systems Co., Ltd. – is based in Qinhuangdao, China. 

The United States is the world’s leader when it comes to creating breakthrough cures and life-saving prescription drugs. Maintaining that lead is a critical national security issue. Simply put, Americans cannot be dependent on an adversary like China to provide us with medicine.

In May, the House Energy and Commerce Committee advanced the Motor Vehicle Modernization Act out of committee to the full House. The legislation contains a provision that on its face purports to protect the U.S. automotive industry from foreign adversaries; however, a backroom deal exception written into the provision would allow driverless vehicles manufactured in China into the United States, undermining national security. Here’s how.

Voters around the country might be surprised to hear that 280 Members of the House of Representatives just voted for a policy that would give China the upper hand over American farmers. Unfortunately, that’s just what happened last week during the floor debate on the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, better known as the “Farm Bill.”

Last Thursday, the Senate passed H.J. Res. 140, a resolution of disapproval on a Biden-era ban on mining in Minnesota. The resolution had previously passed the House in January and now goes to President Trump for his signature.

This week, the House Agriculture Committee voted 34-17 to advance the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, also known as the Farm Bill 2.0. Seven Democrats joined with Republicans to move the bill forward. 

We know for a fact that China’s communist government in Beijing is trying to manipulate and influence America’s domestic food production and steal from U.S. consumers. Fortunately, President Trump took action this week to secure and protect America’s food supply. Meanwhile, states like Florida are stepping up to prevent foreign attacks. 

American farm policy is national security policy. Now more than ever, the U.S. needs a thriving agricultural base to feed our citizens without depending on other countries. Exports of American farm products are also key to helping stop the influence of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) around the world.
