Protecting America Initiative Finds Broad Support for Trump Administration’s National Farm Security Action Plan to Combat Threat of Communist China to Agriculture
WASHINGTON – The Protecting America Initiative, a conservative nonprofit organization focused on safeguarding the nation from Communist China’s growing influence, released new polling today that found Americans largely support the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Farm Security Action Plan to protect U.S. agriculture from the threat of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The survey shows that Americans are more likely (66%) to support a candidate who aligns themselves with the USDA’s farm plan and strongly advocate for farmers and protecting U.S. agriculture from Chinese Communist Party (CCP) influences.
Key findings for the survey include:
82% of Americans are concerned about China buying up our farmland, underscoring the urgent call for decisive action.
When asked if the U.S. should protect its supply chain by making pesticides domestically instead of relying on imports from China, voter concern is strong. 71% support tighter protections for the agricultural supply chain and would like to see pesticides produced domestically.
57% of likely voters support the USDA’s efforts to refocus domestic investment and identify non-adversarial partners to work with when domestic production is not available to protect our food supply from adversarial threats.
65% of likely voters back Secretary Rollins’ crackdown on Chinese nationals from purchasing US farmland and are demanding swift, decisive action, tough penalties for bad actors, and a full “America First” overhaul of the USDA’s loan, research, and development programs to ensure U.S. resources serve American interests alone.
Protecting America Initiative surveyed 1,037 likely general election voters nationwide from July 14-15, 2025.

BACKGROUND:
In July, PAI launched a six-figure TV and digital ad “Screwed” championing President Trump’s China tariffs that support American farms and factories.
The Protecting America Initiative released polling in June that found a majority of U.S. voters want retailers to eat the costs of tariffs.
In May, the Protecting America Initiative debuted the six-figure ad “Together,” urging lawmakers to safeguard America’s food supply from the CCP.
In May, the Protecting America Initiative commissioned a survey of voters in the top 19 swing congressional districts in the country that found respondents believe that major corporate retailers are to blame for the trade issues plaguing the U.S. and want the retailers to shoulder the burden of any price increases from the tariffs as a result.
The Protecting America Initiative, in April, launched a new policy blueprint of actions Congress can take to combat the CCP at the federal level.
